Rhythm is king

Monaco had a great Fete de la Musique yesterday, with free concerts all over the Principality.

From the Jardin Exotique to the Palace, from the Port to the beach, there was something for everyone. The Maire invited the French reggae band Sinsemilia to play at Port Hercule in the evening. They were fantastic, but our favourite was Dulumba, the local percussion band from the Princesse Stephanie Youth Centre (Centre de la Jeunesse Princesse Stephanie). Clearly enjoying themselves, their infectious smiles, dancing and rhythms had the audience clapping and dancing along with them.

Now we've got a musical summer to look forward to with several big names playing the Salle des Etoiles for the summer Sporting Festival, as well as the Mairie's free concerts at Square Gastaud. Here at maBoum we list some of the latest events on the home page and on each venue's details page. So if you're wondering what to do tonight or tomorrow, check back regularly.
