First soft/indoor petanque competition in Monaco
Marking French National Day, Monaco's first Grand Concours de Petanque Molle, organized by the Brasserie de Monaco and the Club Bouliste Monegasque. Up to 32 teams of 3 players pay a competition fee of 5 euros, which is to be donated to the Maraude association. All participants of the knockout tournament leave with a reward for taking part, with prizes for winners:
- 1st prize, VIP weekend for 6 with passes to the World Petanque Championship in Marseille, include one night in a 4 star hotel
- 2nd prize, 3 sets of 3 carbon KTK petanque boules
- 3rd prize, 3 tasting meals for 2 people at Monaco's Explorers Pub
- 4th prize, three 3 litre bottles of Monaco Beer
On the day, the Brasserie is serving large sharing plates of charcuterie, cheese and rillettes with mini baguettes for 20 euros. Musical entertainment is also planned with:
- 16:00-19:30, Paulo and his accordeon
- 19:30-23:00, Radio Monaco session
- 23:00 onwards, DJ Singer by Amalg@me, Chris Micci and Laetitia Garcia
