Discover the marine life of Monaco's coast
To mark International Day for Biological Diversity 2012, Pierre Frolla, world free-diving champion, is guiding visitors around the Larvotto under-sea reserve to discover the rich variety of flora and fauna around Monaco's shore. From 9:30 to 16:30, expeditions leave from Monaco beach, meeting at the Ecole Bleue. Swimming in depths less than 25 metres, using flippers, snorkels and wet suit. Followed by a question and answer session with Pierre Frolla.
Larvotto nature reserve was created in 1976 and now contains a wide variety of species: more than 50 fish, 14 algae, 33 sponges, and 26 molluscs.
