21st Parliamentary Assembly Annual Session of OSCE
From 5th to 9th July, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) holds its annual parliamentary assembly session. As the world's largest regional security organization, the OSCE assists in arms control, conflict management and fighting human trafficing. The theme this year is The OSCE: A Region of Change.
Hosted by the Conseil National, around 250 participants are expected to debate and vote on over 30 resolutions including:
- economic recovery
- Iran's nuclear program
- democracy in the Arab world
- military cooperation
- human rights
The session also includes a Mediterranean Forum attended by delegations from the Middle East and North Africa.
