Exhibition by English artist
From 12th May to 15th October.
Born in London, in 1964, Marc Quinn studied the history of art at Cambridge University, where he produced his first sculptures. He has worked closely with the Oceanographic Museum to create an exhibition that unites art and science. Around 60 works are placed around the Oceanographic Museum's collection of marine specimens. Several paintings, sculptures and installations can be seen throughout the galleries, the concourse at the entrance, and the panoramic roof terrace, including the celebrated self-portrait, Self, created with the artist's own blood.
