Unite in the fight against AIDS

First held in 1988, World AIDS day is an opportunity for people to show their support for those affected by HIV and to remember those who have died. Several activities to mark the day are planned by Fight AIDS Monaco, founded and presided over by Princess Stephanie:

  • Objectif Zero, the 2011-2015 UNAIDS campaign. Posters in public places promoting the slogan "zero new infection, zero discrimination, zero death from AIDS.
  • Restaurants Solidaires de Monaco, an initiative of Sem.Art, restaurants are disseminating AIDS prevention messages on tables, offering free condoms with coffee, and asking for donations for Fight AIDS Monaco. See below for participating restaurants.
  • AIDS Memorial Quilt, sufferers supported by Fight AIDS Monaco have created 3 quilts, each with 8 panels on which they pay tribute to friends who have died from AIDS. Unveiling at Stade Louis II, 28th Nov at 13:00.
  • charity art auction from 19:30 at Meridien Beach Plaza, by invitation only. More than 50 sculptures, paintings and photographs, including works by Ben, Sosno and Dali. Led by Stephane Aubert from Maison des Ventes Artcurial, hosted by TV presenter Sebastien Folin.
