Charles Lysaght is a biographer, editor of Great Irish Lives, and Irish obituarist of The Times.
Obituaries combine the skills of the historian and journalist. Lysaght discusses assembling accurate information and assessments of lives, presenting a balanced and realistic portrait with minimum offence. He also examines the newspaper practice of publishing anonymously written obituaries.
