60th anniversary of the Prix Litteraire
A special award ceremony for the 60th anniversary of the Fondation Prince Pierre literature prizes, in which past winners are invited to participate. Created in 1951, the Literature Prize honours a French language writer for the body of his or her work. Nominees are proposed by an advisory board that meets in Paris in May to draw up a shortlist. The prize is 15,000 euros.
As 2011 marks the 60th anniversary, a number of events are taking place from 1st to 5th October at the Hotel Hermitage, including a tribute to Jorgue Semprum, a member of the jury since 2002 who died this year.
