Annual fete nationale
Official events start at 10:00 with a Te Deum Mass in the cathedral. After this, Prince Albert presents medals and honours the police and palace guards. He then celebrates with his family and Monegasques in the Place du Palais.
The Mairie has organized a number of free events to mark Monaco's National Holiday. For 2012, invitations are available from the Mairie on presentation of an ID card or Carte de Sejour, 2 places per card where available:
- from 7 Nov, 9:00-16:00 for Monegasques
- from 8 Nov, 9:00-16:00 for residents

Monaco's Fete Nationale has been celebrated since the reign of Prince Charles III in 1857. Originally falling on the saint's day of the reigning prince, Prince Albert II decided to keep the date his father celebrated, Saint Rainier's Day, 19th November.
