Singing protest songs that voice criticism of political and social issues, Joan Baez' career has spanned 5 decades as singer, activist and good will ambassador. She was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007 by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, and plays the Monaco gig as part of her current tour of France.
