An evening dedicated to the works of Goldsmith
Organized by the Monaco Ireland Arts Society to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day. Including extracts from Goldsmith's two plays, his novel The Vicar of Wakefield, and other writings.
Goldsmith was born in Ireland in the 18th century and was inspired by French literature, especially the work of Marivaux. Famous for his two plays The Good-Natur'd Man and She Stoops to Conquer, his novel The Vicar of Wakefield, and is commonly thought to have written The History of Little Goody Two Shoes.
