Opening night for Monaco's beer festival
The 5th edition of Monaco's Oktoberfest, organized by Monte Carlo SBM and TA Distribution, officially opens on Friday inside the Cafe de Paris marquee. In the presence of Prince Albert II, Monegasque and Bavarian dignitaries the first cask of beer will be tapped, after which the amber nectar will flow every day until 30th October.
The opening ceremony includes music from Alpenhorn players, dancing by the Monegasque troupe La Palladienne, as well as the musical group Echt Guat and two Bavarian Jodlerinnen singers, who will continue to entertain revelers throughout the 8 day festival.
Weihenstephan beer from Munich is on tap, and Bavarian food is on the menu, starting at 15 euros. For teetotalers, Xan Wellness "health" drink is available, a malty, fruity, non-alcoholic drink.
Open daily from 19:00 to 00:30.
