Competition recitals by 4 violinists
Two of the competitors will be chosen to go through to the final. Each candidate has approx. 1h25 for their recital, which must include:
- either Corelli's La follia, or Tartini's Trille du diable
- a French work - choice of Ravel's Tzigane, Chausson's Poeme, Debussy's Sonata, or Poulenc's Sonata
- a Romantic work - choice of Brahms, Beethoven, Schumann, Enesco, Franck, Lalo, or Dvorak
- a 20th century work of importance
