Alexia Barrier sets off on her solo voyage.
Alexia Barrier, "enfant du pays", sets off on the first leg of her 5 month trip, heading for Cape Town. The 4myplanet Scientific World Tour project is supported by Monte Carlo SBM, the Fondation Prince Albert II, and the Oceanographic Museum, amongst others. During the journey, Alexia will be collecting data about the ocean for scientific purposes. She calls at Cape Town, Auckland, Rio and New York, where school children will be invited onto the boat to learn about the oceans.
