Documentary on the history and reconstruction of Nijinsky's Rite of Spring. Includes illustrations of the 1913 premiere, historical footage of interviews with Stravinsky and Dame Marie Rambert. Dance historian Millicent Hodson and art historian Kenneth Archer describe the reconstruction, followed by the Joffrey Ballet performance.
Directed by Judy Kinberg, dance directed by Thomas Grimm. 58 minutes, narrated by Kathryn Walker. Stravinsky's music performed by the Orchestra of the National Theatre, Prague, conducted by Allan Lewis. Nijinsky's choreography reconstructed and staged by Millicent Hodson. Stravinsky's and Nikolai Roerich's set design, scenery and costumes reconstructed by Kenneth Archer
