French language movie screening and conference
A montage of film excerpts showing the ever changing face of Monaco in relation to its position on the sea. From its status as a border fort of the Genoese Republic in the 13th century, Monaco has remodelled itself through the ages to take advantage of its sheltered, natural harbour, becoming a bathing resort, a competitive arena, a place of marine scientific research and a yachting harbour. The screening is followed by a conference.

Institut Audiovisuel de Monaco's "Monaco en Films" illustrates how Monaco is represented on screen through montage and commentary. Since 2014 it has organized "cine-conferences" in close collaboration with the Archives du Palais de Monaco.
