Launch of Marathon Read for Fondation Prince Pierre
Launch of the annual Reading Marathon (marathon de lecture) that takes place between June and August.

The Marathon de Lecture aims to involve the public in Fondation Prince Pierre's literary activities. Books nominated for the Prix Litteraire and Bourse de la Decouverte (Prince Pierre Literary Prize, and Discovery Grant) are available to borrow from local libraries, and readers are asked to fill out questionnaires giving their impressions of them. Later in the year participants are invited to meet the authors.
