Monaco reached the quarter finals by beating Ajaccio 2-1 on 6 Jan, Chambly Oise 4-5 on 1 Feb, and Marseille 3-4 on 1 Mar.
Organized by the French Football Federation, the Coupe de France is a knockout competition open to amateur and professional clubs. Monaco has won the cup five times, in 1960, 1963, 1980, 1985, and 1991. The team recently reached the final in 2010, losing to Paris Saint Germain.
