Marking the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in America in 1970.
Founded by Gaylord Nelson, a US Senator, in 1970, inspired by the student anti-war movement, Earth Day aims to raise awareness about air and water pollution and put environmental protection onto the national political agenda.
Various events have been organized in previous years in the Principality, but are to be confirmed for the current year:
- Earth Day swim across Port Hercule
- 8 May at St Paul's Anglican Church, Sunday Club Earth Day Sunday
