An audience with improvisational pianist Jean-Francois Zygel. During the evening the pianist reveals the mechanics of improvisation, and explains how the practice has marked the course of musical history and his own life.
Zygel won the 2006 Victoire de la Musique, founded the improvisation piano class at the Conservatoire de Paris and is artist in residence at the Theatre du Chatelet and at the Philharmonie Luxembourg. He is also well known for his television work on France 2's La Boite a Musique and France 5's Les Clefs de l'Orchestre, as well as the France Inter radio program La Preuve par Z.
