On 17 and 18 October, the Festival Mondial de la Harpe gathers orchestral harpists and students for workshops and concerts, and an exhibition of harps at the Academie de Musique Rainier III. Program overview:
Saturday 17 October
During the day, at the Academie de Musique Rainier III, auditions and workshops.
At the Auditorium Rainier III:
- 16:30, in the Troparium, orchestral harpists share their experience
- 18:30, concert of young harpists from conservatories in the PACA region and from Italy, with the participation of Xavier de Maistre
At Red Monaco, 21:00, a dinner concert with traditional music.
Sunday 18 October
In the morning, at the Academie de Musique Rainier III, a harp competition, and a concert of Russian music by Sasha Boldachev.
In the afternoon, at the Auditorium Rainier III:
- 14:00, in the Troparium, workshop of Paraguayan music
- 16:00, prize-giving for the Jeunes Espoirs competition, the Harpe Princesse drawing competition, and the Harpe Dans Tous Ses Etats video competition
- 18:00, gala concert with Xavier de Maistre, the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, and special guest Catherine Michel
