From 10 to 12 December, the 3rd edition of the Concours International de Piano 4 Mains (International Piano 4 Hand Competition). Program:
- Thu 10 Dec, quarter final, Mozart's Sonata in F, KV 497
- Fri 11 Dec, semi final, pianists' choice of at least two works of different styles and/or periods
- Sat 12 Dec, 19:30, Auditorium Prince Rainier III, finals, with Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Philippe Bender, Carl Czerny's Piano Concerto in C for 4 Hands, op 153
The final is presented by competition patron Olivier Bellamy. Tickets cost 20 euros, students 12 euros, under 12s free of charge, available from the Monte Carlo Casino atrium box office.
Pianist duos compete for the Helene and Felix Przedborski Grand Prix, 5000 euros and European concert engagement. Second prize is 3000 euros and third prize is 2000 euros.
