84th Monte Carlo Automobile Rally.
From 18 to 24 January, the 2016 Monte Carlo Rally is the first of 13 events in the FIA World Rally Championship 2016. The first 3 days are devoted to reconnaissance, after which the competition begins for the maximum of 80 teams.
Wed 20 Jan, shakedown stage
Thu 21 Jan, 1st stage
Official departure at 18:10 from Place du Casino, followed by two night time-trials:
- Entrevaux-Rouaine 21.11 km
- Barles-Seyne les Alpes 20.23 km
Fri 22 Jan, 2nd stage
Three time-trials north of Gap.
- Corps-La Salle en Beaumont 14.54 km
- Aspres les Corps-Chauffayer 25.55 km
- Les Costes-Chaillol 17.67 km
Sat 23 Jan, 3rd stage
Longest day of the event.
Sun 24 Jan, 4th stage
Final day of the event in the hills above Monaco, with only the leading 60 teams taking part. Vehicles return to the Principality for the prize giving ceremony from 15:00 at the Place du Palais.
