16th edition of eco-friendly vehicle competition and 5th ZENN rally
From 18 to 22 March, the 16th Monte Carlo Rally for New Energies. Schedule overview:
- 18 March, administrative controls
- 19 March, vehicles depart Lugano in Switzerland, Annecy le Vieux, Clermont Ferrand or Montauban in France, heading for Gap
- 20 March, Gap to Monaco, with stages in the Hautes Alpes and Alpes de Haute Provence
- 21 March, stage in the Alpes Maritimes, with a regrouping in Monaco around 11:30 and to end the day around 19:00
- 22 March, morning, manoeuvrability trials on the Darse Sud of Port Hercule, followed by closing lunch and prize giving in the Fairmont Hotel's Salle de la Mer
During the event, a village at Port Hercule is open to the public, with exhibitions and information about the development of the automobile and sustainable transport, test drives and entertainment.
