Festival and culinary cultural exchange

From 18 to 22 February, the winter edition of Saisons de la Gastronomie Russe takes place in selected restaurants in Monaco. The event provides an opportunity for Russian chefs to work alongside Monaco chefs, to exchange ideas and bring new culinary experiences to diners. Six Monegasque chefs and six Russian chefs are taking part, and their specially devised menus are proposed at participating restaurants during the week. One of several events marking Monaco's Annee de la Russie.

18 Feb, 14:30-17:00, Cafe de Paris, children's entertainment and cooking classes, 25 euros per child, parents free entry.

19 and 20 Feb, 19:00 onwards, Cafe de Paris, Russian cuisine menu, folk music by Terem Kvartet and Russian folk tales performance. Reservation advised.

21 Feb, 18:30, Salle Belle Epoque, Hermitage Hotel, gala dinner orchestrated by chefs Joel Garault (Vistamar), Jean Claude Brugel (Cafe de Paris) and Konstantin Makridin (chef cuisinier of the Kremlin). The evening includes a concert with Mariinsky soloist Vasily Laduk, folk music by Terem Kvartet, a fashion show by designer Elena Badmaeva, and an exhibition of winter themed Russian art of the 19th and 20th centuries by Russian Fine Arts Gallery. 350 euros, reservation required.
