Student art exhibition
An exhibition marking the 5th edition of the educational and research partnership between students of the Sorbonne, Paris IV, and of the Ecole Superieure d'Arts Plastiques, Pavillon Bosio (ESAP).
- exhibition 14:00-18:00
- vernissage 18:00-20:00
Students have commissioned a selection of 14 works that explore the nature of "protocol" performances and art. The exhibition is an opportunity for the public to participate in activating, deactivating and reactivating the artworks.
"Protocol" art is bound by a collection of rules that one or several artists proscribe in order to create a work, performance or action. The use of instructions allows other artist to form their own creation using the work of someone else. An example is the work of Monaco born artist Michel Blazy. His Bouquet de spaghettis-Meduse, conceived like a cooking recipe, can be reproduced in a museum or at home.
In partnership with the Fonds Regionaux d'Art Contemporain (FRAC) of the Midi-Pyrenees, Aquitaine and Lorraine regions, and Hans-Ulrich Obrist's online exhibition site Do It.
