Russian pancake week
From 20 to 22 Feb the Maslenitsa Festival is a traditional Russian holiday celebrating the imminent end of winter with special food and outdoor activities, similar to Pancake Day or Shrove Tuesday. Celebrations in Monaco take the form of a modern interpretation of a traditional folk event, including masked balls, a market selling products by Russian designers and artists, and craft workshops for children.
In addition there are a number of Cossack performances scheduled by 20 musicians, dancers and singers:
- 20 Feb, 10:00-13:00 and 14:30-16:30
- 21 Feb, 11:30-13:00 and 14:30-16:30
- 22 Feb, 11:30-13:00 and 14:30 to 17:00
