Meeting of supreme authority of Olympic Movement
From 5 to 9 December, the 127th session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), preceded by an IOC executive board meeting. Around 1000 delegates are expected.

It's 21 years since the IOC met in the Principality. At the 1993 session in Monaco, Sydney was elected to host the Olympics in 2000.
The session is expected to make decisions on:
- bidding procedure strategy
- procedural changes for the Olympic Programme
- establishment of Olympic TV channel
