Unite in the fight against AIDS
World AIDS Day in Monaco is marked by several activities and events raising awareness of the disease and raising funds for Fight Aids Monaco:
- Test In The City anonymous screening, 24 Nov, Promenade Honore II, free of charge, with results in 10 minutes. In partnership with Princess Grace Hospital Emergency Services, the Centre for Anonymous and Free Screening, and Monaco Red Cross.
- Jungle Fight, 27 Nov, 17:00-19:00, monthly broadcast presented by Malher and Princesse Stephanie, direct from Radio Monaco studios.
- AIDS Memorial Quilt (operation Courtepointe), sufferers supported by Fight AIDS Monaco have created quilts, each with 8 panels on which they pay tribute to friends who have died from AIDS. Unveiling at Oceanographic Museum concourse, 28 Nov at 13:00.
- charity art auction, by invitation only, 1 Dec from 19:00 at Meridien Beach Plaza. More than 55 sculptures, paintings and photographs. Led by Francois Tajan from Maison des Ventes Artcurial, with Sebastien Folin as master of ceremony. The auction brochure is available at: Fight AIDS Monaco. Supported by Barclays Monaco.
First held in 1988, World AIDS day is an opportunity for people to show their support for those affected by HIV and to remember those who have died. Events in Monaco are organized by Fight AIDS Monaco, founded and presided over by Princess Stephanie.
