20th November marks the day in 1959 on which the United Nations Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, and this year, the 25th anniversary of the 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Events in Monaco are dedicated to raising awareness of the Principality's school children about the plight of their peers around the world and their fundamental rights. Related to Universal Children's Day:
