James Ryan talks about Irish emigration in the post-war period and why there is so little literature dealing with the subject. He also reads extracts from Home From England.

James Ryan is Director of the Creative Writing Programme, School of English, Drama and Film at University College Dublin. He is also the Ireland Fund of Monaco Writer-in-Residence at the Princess Grace Irish Library from 20 April to 15 May 2015.
