Opening festivities of Yacht Club de Monaco
From 20th to 22nd June, the first weekend of the new Monaco Yacht Club, designed by Norman Foster.

Several events are planned during the weekend to celebrate the art of ocean living (l'art de vivre la mer).
Giraglia Rolex Cup
Sailing regatta from Sanremo to Saint Tropez, and Saint Tropez to Monaco via Giraglia. Prize giving ceremony takes place in the Yacht Club on Sat 21 Jun.
15 Meter Class challenge
A regatta for 15m classical yachts, of which only four are still sailing; Tuiga (1909), Hispania (1909), The Lady Anne (1912) and Mariska (1908). From 20th to 22nd June, the first stage of their Annual Trophy.
Tara stopover
On 20th and 21st June, the scientific research boat Tara is visiting Monaco before its next expedition.
Venture Cup
On 22nd June, powerboats competing in the 2014 Venture Cup Race arrive in Monaco, revisiting the 1972 endurance race from London to Monaco. Boats departed London 7th June to cover 2750 nautical miles, visiting 11 cities in 5 countries.
Established in 1953 by Prince Rainier III, and with Prince Albert II as its president since 1984, the Yacht Club is a private club of 1300 members. It organizes around 20 regattas per year and provides training. The new building will not only house Yacht Club, but also the Societe Nautique de Monaco rowing club.
