Two races open to the public
Marking the feast day of Beausoleil's patron saint, Saint Joseph, two annual races. Both runs are open to the public, registration costs 6 euros for one race, or 10 euros for both.
La Course des Escaliers (stair race)
- 10:00 start from the bottom of the Escalier Riviera on Boulevard de la Republique
The race is against the clock, up 458 steps starting in the centre of town, near Gustave Eiffel Market, ending at Riviera Palace, in the upper area of town. You'll need to be in excellent physical condition if you want to beat the record, which is 1h 26m 34s.
La Course Nature "Souvenir Lilia Porta" (cross country race)
- 14:30 start at Devens sports complex
From a line start, the race covers approx. 8km around the sports and leisure complex of Devens, above Beausoleil, tracing a loop around the main facilities of the park. Competitors complete the course 4 times.
