2nd edition of polo tournament in Monaco
UPDATE 7 Jul: Winners of the Monte Carlo Polo Cup were the Twiga-Cipriani team for Ireland, second place went to Cartier for Monaco, third place to Maserati for Switzerland, and fourth place to EFG Bank for USA.
UPDATE 4 Jul: due to bad weather, the opening ceremony and inaugural match are delayed, and both now take place on Saturday 5th July, from 17:30.
From 3rd to 6th July, the Monte Carlo Polo Cup takes place on a specially prepared playing field, with intrenational players forming 6 teams of 3 players each. Monaco resident Italian business man, Flavio Briatore, has announced he is forming a team to compete against those from USA, Switzerland, Germany, Russia, Italy and Ireland. 85 horses are being stabled at the stadium.
