Charity poker tournament raising funds for breast cancer
The first Pink Ribbon charity poker competition playing Texas Hold'em No Limits rules.
- registration 350 euros
- includes tournament, refreshments and winners' cocktail
- limited to 80 participants
- registration on a first come first served basis
There are three rounds of 4 tables of 10 players, each lasting 1h30, starting at 14:00, 16:00 and 18:00. Awards are presented at 19:30 during a cocktail.
Prizes:
- 1st prize, a place at PokerStars and Monte Carlo Casino European Poker Tour Grand Final Main Event, value 10,600 euros
- 2nd prize, a Slyde watch, value 4550 euros
- 3rd prize, Monte Carlo Experience holiday package for 2, including 2 nights in a Monte Carlo SBM hotel, and round-trip helicopter shuttle from Nice airport
Organizers hope the tournament will attract more men to their movement, whilst funds raised from the event will help Pink Ribbon Monaco to continue raising awareness of breast cancer screening and prevention. Some of the money will also contribute to decorating the new breast cancer screening centre at Princess Grace Hospital, due to be inaugurated in spring 2014.
