3-day visit by awareness raising project team
Students Douglas Couet and Louis Wilmotte take a 3-day break from their kayak journey through coastal waters from Gibraltar to the Bosphorus. The sports duo departed 31st July and have traveled 2000 km so far, with a further 8000 km remaining. Their humanitarian and scientific mission is to raise awareness of the plight of the oceans, and threats to the Mediterranean's marine biodiversity. During their stopover in Monaco, Couet and Wilmotte plan to talk to school children, with the support of organizations in the Principality that work towards the same goals.
Members of the public are also welcome to meet the kayakers towards the end of the morning of 10th December at the Societe Nautique.
