Unite in the fight against AIDS
Several activities marking World AIDS Day:
- Test In The City, third year for this anonymous screening, free of charge, with results in 10 minutes. 28th November, 10:00-18:00, Jardins d'Apolline. In partnership with Princess Grace Hospital Emergency Services, the Centre for Anonymous and Free Screening, and Monaco Red Cross.
- AIDS Memorial Quilt (operation Courtepointe), third edition. Sufferers supported by Fight AIDS Monaco have created quilts, each with 8 panels on which they pay tribute to friends who have died from AIDS. Unveiling at Oceanographic Museum concourse, 29th November at 13:00.
- Restaurateurs Solidaires de Monaco, restaurants are disseminating AIDS prevention messages on tables, offering free condoms with coffee, and asking for donations for Fight AIDS Monaco. From 25th November to 1st December inclusive. See below for participating restaurants. An initiative of Sem.Art.
- charity art auction, by invitation only. 1st December from 19:30 at Meridien Beach Plaza, by invitation only. More than 50 sculptures, paintings and photographs. Led by Francois Tajan from Maison des Ventes Artcurial, with Sebastien Folin as master of ceremony. Supported by Barclays Monaco.
First held in 1988, World AIDS day is an opportunity for people to show their support for those affected by HIV and to remember those who have died. Events in Monaco are organized by Fight AIDS Monaco, founded and presided over by Princess Stephanie.
