Minimalist music performance
Performance of Terry Riley's composition IN C, considered to be the first composition of the minimalist music movement. The work is played by the Ensemble of Saturated and Amplified Instruments (SAI Ensemble), formed in 2012 by pianist Nicolas Horvath.
IN C can be played by any number of musicians, who each repeat 53 short phrases an arbitrary number of times. Each musician is free to choose when to begin and how many repetitions to play, before moving on to the following phrase.
