Opening Monaco's season
The 2013 Rose Ball's artistic director is Karl Lagerfeld, working to a theme of Bal de la Rose du Rocher (rose of the Rock ball), representing a classic Belle Epoque ball. Marking the 150th anniversary year of the Societe des Bains de Mer (SBM), which organizes the event, the evening ends with the usual pop concert. Each year the Ball raises money for the Fondation Princesse Grace.
