New ballet with choreography by Jean-Christophe Maillot
Jean-Christophe Maillot's new ballet, Chore, is a departure from narrative dance. It consists of short, abstract pieces, in 5 independent sections, and is a collaboration with writer Jean Rouaud, set designer Dominique Drillot, and costume designer Philippe Guillotel. With music by Bach, Bertrand Maillot, Yan Maresz and John Cage, and an improvised drum solo.
