Competition for regional artists
UPDATE: The winners of the 2013 Open des Artistes were announced 26th February:
- Prix du Jury, Gerald Panighi, for Decouvert Par Un Promeneur, destined for the cover of the Monaco Yellow Pages, and a personal exhibition at Galerie l'Entrepot
- two runners-up awards; Annabelle Tattu for Les Pussy Riots, and Nathalie Leger for La Memoire Decomposee
- Prix Monaco Telecom, Andrea Palm for Un Fait Divers Survenu A Monaco, destined for the cover of the collectors' edition of the Monaco telephone directory
- Prix du Public, Franka Severin for Muti
The 3rd edition of the Open des Artistes competition that promotes artistic creativity in the Principality. This year's theme is Le Fait Divers.
70 artists from Monaco, the Alpes Maritimes and Italy's Imperia region have entered work in the competition, and the next stage is about to begin.
- 15th to 30th January, virtual exhibition on the organizer's website: Galerie l'Entrepot. Members of the public can vote for their favourite works, and the 3 with the most votes are automatically entered into the jury selection and exhibition.
- 4th February, 18:30, official viewing (vernissage) of finalists' work, by invitation.
- 4th to 22nd February, exhibition at the Galerie de l'Entrepot of the final 30 works, to be judged by a jury of professionals. Prizes will be announced during this time.
Prize winners' work is used on the Monaco Telecom telephone directories: Prix du Public on the White Pages, Prix de l'Open on the Yellow Pages, and Prix Monaco Telecom for best photograph on the Annuaire Collector. - December 2013, the winner of the Prix du Jury has a personal exhibition of work at the Galerie l'Entrepot.
