The GemlucArt exhibition starts today in the Auditorium Rainier III.
The exhibition displays artwork entered in Gemluc's 1st International Competition of Contemporary Art. With 'hope' as its theme, the exhibition was officially launched by a gala dinner last week. It's open every day from 10:00 to 18:00, 22nd October to 6th November in the atrium of Auditorium Ranier III.
The Gemluc charity, created in 1973 by a group of Monegasque enterprises, raises money for cancer research and equipment. You can buy any of the works on display and part of the proceeds will to Gemluc's fundraising efforts. Alternatively, artists may donate the work for Gemluc's future museum of contemporary art.
Artists are exhibiting one original piece which has never previously been entered into a competition. The winners will be announced on 6th November, with 3 prizes on offer: the GemlucArt prize, the public prize chosen by visitors to the exhibition, and the jury's special prize.
