Our best wishes today go to Stars n Bars, which is not only partying with all our American friends for 4th July, but is also celebrating 20 years supplying burgers to the burghers of Monaco.
What's new?
School holidays start this weekend, and so do lots of annual summer events. Taking advantage of the sunshine, bars and restaurants on Port Hercule are re-installing their outdoor terraces, Meridien Hotel launches its summer program, and the Oceanographic Museum begins late night opening every Wednesday. We've already enjoyed a couple of the Mairie's free concerts, and on Monday Fort Antoine contemporary French theatre season lifts its curtain. But if you're not excited by the cultural events, there's always plenty of Sunday shopping to be done.
In other news this week, Monaco Football Club's woes continue, the Automobile Club released its 2014 calendar, and Monte Carlo Beach's Elsa restaurant was awarded an organic certificate by the French body Ecocert.
Finally, if you enjoy golf and would like to meet some famous footballers, you might consider becoming a sponsor of the Day of Legends event that's coming up at the beginning of September.
