The day the music died (1)

February might make you shiver, but the good news is that there's plenty of sport, music and partying in Monaco this weekend.

What's new?

We're not even into Spring, but already Monaco's beach jazz venue the Note Bleue is planning its concert program for summer. The Grimaldi Forum is promoting its summer exhibition too, this year entitled Pomp and Circumstance of European Courts. Starting in July, shortly after the wedding of Prince Albert and Charlene Wittstock, the expo promises to give you an insight into the life of historical royal couples.

It's an important week for rugby fans as the annual 6 nations competition starts on Friday. You'll find us in one of Monaco's TV sports bars, along with other Welsh, English, Scottish, Irish, French and Italian fans. Cymru am byth!

What's in the diary...

Thursday: Menu: amuse oreilles, DIY scallops, double helpings of jazz.
Friday: New salsa venue, Somewhere in Monaco.
Saturday: Form a square or a line cowboy.
Sunday: A romantic evening, Steelers and Packers kick off at midnight.

Coming up next week, Irish business, double the questions, and two pieces for trio.

For lots more suggestions, visit maBoum's 7 day listing and enjoy your weekend.

(1) Our quotes this week are from Don Mclean's hit song American Pie, in which he remembers 3rd February 1959, the day when Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper were killed in a plane crash.
