It's another lazy holiday in Monaco today.
What's new?
Following the excitement of the Grand Prix last weekend, we're hoping for a relaxing, warm and sunny June in preparation for the school holidays. If you're looking for things to keep the kids occupied, Outward Bound Monaco has a few places left for teens aged 13-16 on its UK based activity courses that take place in July and August. Youngsters who prefer to remain in the Principality can apply for the Pass'Sport Culture activity card, and for those aspiring to work in the fashion industry, there are 5-day courses that work through the production of an advertising campaign.
Tomorrow sees the official opening of the Saint Antoine district on the border with Cap d'Ail. Monaco and its French neighbour collaborated on the 2 hectare construction project, which contains apartments, shops, and public facilities, including a sports hall and a new stadium for the Club Bouliste Monegasque.
What's in the diary...
Thursday: Candela Arnaud jazz project.
Friday: Riviera clubs' wine & grill party.
Saturday: Young people's fencing challenge.
Sunday: Royal celebratory concert.
Coming up next week, eco-networking, beetles and violins.
For lots more suggestions, visit maBoum's 7 day listing and enjoy your weekend.
(1) This week's quote is the nickname given to American jazz and swing musician, clarinetist and bandleader, Benny Goodman, born this day 1909.
