The kids are back at school on Monday and it won't be long before spring is here. Hopefully we've seen the last of the snow and ice.
What's new?
We're looking forward to a delicious treat and a charity gala, which start our weekend on a high note. Tonight, Club Vivanova's gourmet wine-tasting dinner takes place in Address restaurant, although tickets may now be sold out. If so, you can still visit the modern, Italian style eatery, which opened in summer 2012 and where Mr maBoum enjoyed a hearty goose confit.
Tomorrow is the first of March, a day that's celebrated by Welsh everywhere, and here at maBoum we'll be remembering the other Principality, "hen wlad fy nhadau". We're not the only ones, as Prince Albert and Princess Charlene welcome a host of specially invited Gallic guests to Monaco's Saint David's Day gala.
As for eating out, we hear there are likely to be changes at Ariston soon, the cafe bar opposite the beach. No changes however in the Michelin Red Guide, where Monaco's Louis XV and Joel Robuchon restaurants retain their respective 3 and 2 stars. Both places also re-open next week following a seasonal break, along with Romantica and the Monte Carlo Beach Hotel. Take note too that the Lycee Technique et Hoteliere officially moves to its new location in Condamine on Monday, where students will continue to manage their restaurant Le Cordon d'Or.
