Do You Remember? (1)
Today we're enjoying ourselves at the Monaco Yacht Show, simply messing about in boats.
What's new?
Fans of online gaming will be disappointed to learn that the iGaming event planned to coincide with Sportel in October has been canceled. Organizers blame economic difficulties within the industry, which have caused companies to drastically cut their marketing budgets.
Do you think you could be a poet? Regional publication Cote Poets is looking for poems to include in its 3rd edition. The closing date for submissions is 10th October, and the contact email is cotepoets[at]hotmail.fr.
What's in the diary...
Thursday: Nice musicians raise money, Brits bake cakes and raise a glass.
Friday: Yacht lovers party and sell time.
Saturday: Photographers' marathon.
Sunday: Royal comedy.
Coming up next week, Scots try out their dancing shoes and whiskey, OPMC overture.
Featured event
On Saturday, Beausoleil celebrates its Journee des Associations and puts on a big party at the Devens sports ground. Commonly known as Devens en Fete, the event goes on all day, with lots of activities, presentations by dance associations and a chance to try out different sports. It's a day out for the whole family and a chance for newcomers to the region to discover Monaco's lesser known neighbour and its cultural life.
Please note: when we feature places and events, we're writing our own personal opinions rather than placing adverts. If you have a favourite restaurant or bar that you'd like us to feature, let us know.
