Ever fallen in love (1)
Apologies for the late arrival of today's newsletter, which was due to our server provider's network problems. We aren't going to let it spoil our weekend tho', with school holidays, Easter eggs and a day off on Monday. Hurrah!
What's new?
The boys will certainly be eyeing up the toys at Top Marques this weekend, but it's no longer just about luxury cars. This year there'll be helicopters, private island holidays, and jewellery. For sporting action, we're hoping the rain holds off on Sunday, when the finals of the Monte Carlo Tennis Masters take place.
For more traditional entertainment, there are plenty of Easter activities around, including the annual municipal egg hunt, and special menus at restaurants.
Finally, Monte Carlo SBM announced its 2014 Sporting Summer Festival program earlier in the week. Most shows include dinner, but some, notably Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, are music only.
What's in the diary ....
Thursday: East Shadow dance premier.
Friday: Good Friday tradition.
Saturday: Bob Sinclar.
Sunday: Monaco v Nice.
Coming up next week, local authors, local voices, and European poker.
For lots more suggestions, visit maBoum's 7 day listing and enjoy your weekend.
(1) This week's quote is part of the title of a song written by Pete Shelley, born this day 1955. Ever fallen in love (with someone you shouldn't've) was a hit for Shelley's band Buzzcocks in 1978.
