Can spring be far behind? (1)

If snowy mountains and cosy evenings by the fire aren't for you, one good thing about winter is that it's soon followed by spring.

What's new?

It's another quiet weekend on the events calendar, so why not treat yourself to a meal out instead. We've perused the menu at new restaurant Bouchon, where you can order some very traditional French fare. Is there anywhere else in Monaco that serves onion soup (11 euros), 6 snails (13 euros) and frogs legs (38 euros)?

The Grimaldi Forum has been busy planning its summer entertainment, and we're especially looking forward to the enormous exhibition on loan from Paris' Pompidou Centre. In June the venue is staging the UK touring production of Broadway musical Chicago, with 3 soap stars and a Nolan sister topping the bill. Follow us on Facebook for news of more events that are coming up.

What's in the diary...

Thursday: Networking for Brits and university friends.
Friday: Everything you ever need to know about rock.
Saturday: Re-live Queen's greatest hits.
Sunday: J Edgar biopic.

Coming up next week, Monte Carlo Rally, and don't forget there's still ice skating and karting at the port, and the Christmas creche exhibition in the cathedral.

For lots more suggestions, visit maBoum's 7 day listing and enjoy your weekend.

(1) This week's quote is from the last line of Percy Bysshe Shelley's poem, Ode to the West Wind, which ends "O Wind, if Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?"
