Brasserie de Monaco's summer terraceIt's our French friends' turn to party this week with French National Day on Wednesday, when towns around the Principality will be setting off fireworks. Explosions in Monaco too, where you can ooh and aah at Ukraine's entry in the musical fireworks competition on Friday. Popular classical music is on the program at the Prince's Palace, and the legendary Stevie Wonder is on stage twice after a spectacular appearance at Glastonbury Festival in the UK. If you've not yet seen Jean-Christophe Maillot's choreography, don't miss your chance on the Casino Terraces or in the Salle Garnier. And for something a little less cultural, kids of every age can enjoy the summer fair in the port, which started yesterday and lasts throughout the school holidays.
Finally a special celebration on Monday, as it's Prince Albert II's 5th anniversary.
